Our Story
Emmaus Catholic School opened in 1994 with an enrolment of 95. Today we have over 330 students enrolled, from Reception to Year 6.
Our school is named after the Bible story that tells about two disciples walking along the road to Emmaus and talking with each other about the death of Jesus. While they were walking, they were joined by a stranger and together they continued to talk about recent events. When evening came, the disciples invited the stranger to stay with them for a meal, he did. When the stranger blessed and broke the bread, the disciples recognised him as Jesus.
This story reminds us to recognise the presence of Jesus in ourselves and each other.
Our Vision
‘A community on a journey with Jesus connected in faith, learning, justice and love for all creation.’ We invite students on a personal journey of their Catholic faith, which recognises the unique presence of God in all people. In partnership, we strive to inspire a passion for learning and equip students to make a positive difference in the world. With a generous and peaceful spirit, we actively participate in the care of God’s creation. We foster a welcoming and inclusive community engaged in works of social justice.
